Shown on this page is a panorama of my work space where I design and sew the  products shown on my website;  a busy, pleasant, happy place to be!  And,I might add, most of the time very cluttered!!

 My dear deceased Mother taught me sewing at the age of ten; beginning with gathered skirts, worn with can-cans and cummerbunds!  :)  Does this give away my age?!  Sewing has remained a huge part of me since then, evolving with me as I added my family and home. 

In the eighties I was drawn into home decor, particularly in the ninties, cottage decor.  I enjoyed creating pillows and window treatments, giving away what I didn't keep. It was also during this time I began making the petite varieties you find in my boutique: birth announcement, tooth fairy, ring bearer, and other special occasion pillows. Actually, there was a very special occasion that started the petite pillows.  In 1985 my teenage son Kyle, who was a high school junior at the time, came to me perplexed because Valentine's Day was nearing and his girl friend Kim,  (now our darling daughter-in-law) was not a fan of chocolate!  He still wanted to do something special for her along with dinner or a movie that was within his budget.  We together designed a cute little heart shaped Valentine Pillow with their names and "dating anniversary date" monogramed.  (They are pictured in the heart frame in the corner shelf.)  She was thrilled and to this day, twenty two years later, this little pillow is still proudly displayed in their home to represent their years spent together. ( Makes me smile.)

In 1997 I launched Pillows Petite as a business and now ten years later here I am... I have been selling online for one year.
